Clear about where your data goes
- No bot in the call. Mufal captures audio on your computer with the permissions you grant. Tell participants you transcribe; it is often a legal requirement.
- Speech-to-text by AssemblyAI. Audio is streamed to AssemblyAI to produce the transcript. Mufal does not keep an audio recording.
- AI answers through OpenRouter. Questions send the relevant transcript and context to the model you choose. Mufal does not train AI models on your meetings.
- Your keys, if you prefer. Add your own AssemblyAI and OpenRouter keys and requests run on your accounts, at provider cost, with no Mufal limits.
Questions
Does a bot join my meetings?
No. Mufal is a desktop app that listens to your microphone and your computer audio. Nothing is added to the participant list, so let people know you are transcribing.
Do I need API keys?
No. The Free plan works out of the box with 60 minutes of transcription a month and 25 AI answers a day. Adding your own keys is optional.
Which platforms are supported?
macOS and Windows on desktop, plus an iPhone app. Meetings sync between your devices when you are signed in.
Can I edit the notes?
Yes. Notes are a draft for you to review. Correct names, dates and commitments before sharing them.
Does it connect to my calendar?
You can link Google Calendar to see your upcoming events in Mufal.
