Yes. Audio is processed locally on your machine — no raw recording is sent to our servers. Only text transcripts can be synced to the cloud (optional). You remain in full control of your data at all times.

Mufal supports 99 languages via the AssemblyAI Universal Streaming v3 engine, with automatic language detection during the meeting.

The Basic plan ($5/mo) lets you use your own AssemblyAI and OpenRouter API keys. The Pro+ plan ($15/mo) includes managed API keys from Mufal — no need to create your own accounts. All features are available on both plans.

Yes. You can download and test Mufal for free by connecting your own free AssemblyAI and OpenRouter API keys. No payment required to get started.

After creating an account, open the app dashboard (Mufal icon → Settings) and paste your AssemblyAI and OpenRouter keys into the provided fields. Keys are stored in memory only and are never saved to disk.

Go to app → Settings → Subscription → "Manage subscription". You'll be taken to the Stripe portal to cancel or change your plan. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
