Meeting setup guide

Your meeting app. Your transcript alongside it.

Mufal runs as a separate desktop app on macOS and Windows. Keep using Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, and start a Mufal session to follow the conversation in text.

Mac and Windows. No API keys required to start. See plan limits.

Zoom: test both sides of the conversation

Join your Zoom call normally, then open Mufal. Check the microphone input and computer audio capture in Mufal. In a short test call, have both people speak and confirm both voices reach the transcript.

Google Meet: check the browser audio output

Keep Meet open in your browser. If you change from speakers to a headset, recheck the input and output devices in Meet and Mufal. Muting a browser tab or changing output devices can affect the audio available to capture.

Microsoft Teams: check your organization's settings

Use Teams normally and verify that your organization permits external transcription. Test the selected audio devices after switching headsets or docking stations. Mufal does not bypass device or organization restrictions.

Only your voice appears?

Check computer audio capture and the meeting app's output device. If only remote voices appear, check microphone permission and input. On macOS, review the requested screen/system audio recording permission; on Windows, check microphone access for desktop apps. Restart Mufal after changing permissions if capture remains unavailable.

Questions before you start

Is this a native Zoom, Meet or Teams integration?

Mufal uses desktop audio capture alongside the meeting app. It does not require a bot invitation or claim an official partnership with these platforms.

Why is transcription incomplete?

Confirm that both audio sources are available, your network is connected and your plan has remaining usage. Background noise, overlapping speech and microphone quality can affect results. Contact support with your OS, app version and a description of the missing audio.

Try it on your next conversation.

Start with a short session, check the transcript, and ask your first question.
